History

The corner stone of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School and Convent was
laid the morning of September 29th, 1951. The school was first administered by
the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary from Monroe, Michigan. In 1981, the
Sisters of the Apostolate of the Sacred Heart of Jesus were invited to live in
the convent and administer the school.
During the years, St. Michael has grown and matured as an institution. We are
responding to the challenges of the 21st century with the same principles on
which the school was founded.
The future can be envisioned with thrilling anticipation. Much has been
accomplished, but so much lies ahead of us. New generations of students,
faculty, and administrators will continue coming together to form the new St.
Michael family.
